Vendepunkt (web)

We just released a new site (flash+3d) for Vendepunkt – a campaign against domestic violence towards children.

As you navigate the site, the room moves from wrecked to fresh section by section. (before and after on the images below)

Sweet Rumble event website

Just lauched the Sweet Rumble event website – design by Øyvind Østmo (RR), flash development by Christer Carlsson (RR).

Tech: The flash site is all programming, nothing hardcoded in the flash file and no timeline animation. All content is produced from a custom admin (programmed by RR) and read into the flash file as xml files.

Website for Sweet Protection 08/09

sweet website

A months work has passed and the Sweet Protection website is launched!! Have a sweet look at www.sweetprotection.com

Other than the super sweet functionality that combines the speed and user experience from flash with the usability and technical advantages similar to regular html browsing, these are the “special” sections of the site:

  • Dressing Room
    (mix and match garments)
  • Team
(a fun piece of interaction design for the youngsters)
  • Dealer Locator
(quick and easy – we reduced the amount of clicks to find a specific dealer from 11 to 3 compared to the old system!)
  • Media
    (view/download catalog, ads, wallpapers, artwork)
  • The Company
(behold the Trysil Fairytale feeling we established with the catalog design Jan 08)

The technical part of this site is world class!! We have used some techniques we haven’t seen around these parts. It is a flash site that doesn’t reload, but still has individual url’s and allow for browser navigation (back/forward) and individual bookmarking.
The whole flash file is programmed to collect all information from databases/xml, so if Sweet Protection ads another dealer in their administration, it shows up in the flash. Same goes for products, team members, etc.

Operasjon Dagsverk (interaction design)

www.od.no/prosjekter

We just finished a sweet interaction design project for Operasjon Dagsverk – Norway’s largest solidarity campaign for youth. OD has been active in 62 countries since 1964.

The brief was to make a new and exciting way to explore their yearly projects from 1964 until today. We designed an interactive map combined with a linear time line. This allows for browsing by country (new) to see when OD has been active in a specific country, as well as browsing by year.
During the design process, OD got funds for including video functionality, so if you have a look at the latest years, you can even see the OD videos in the project window.

The application is programmed in Flash (Actionscript 3.0) and collects all information (text/years/images/etc) from an xml-file produced by OD’s administration system. So projects are easily managed by OD and the flash is always up to date with the right text and images.
For you tech freaks: this is all programmed, so if OD updates their site with a new project, the application will update and display another year seamlessly ;)

Have a look!! Here’s the beauty: www.od.no/prosjekter
